Adhesives and Sealants

EPWET 1940

EPWET 1940 is a wetting and dispersing additive for aqueous pigments and organic slurries. It is suitable for carbon black, organic pigment and stearate dispersions.

Applications

EmulMatt M10

EmulMatt M10 is an aqueous dispersion of micronized crosslinked polymer for aqueous coating and printing inks for matting. It can be easily incorporated into the formulation either at the grinding or let down stage. Unlike silica-based matting agents, it does not cause an increase in formulation viscosity or sedimentation. Formulations containing EmulMatt M10 perform exceptionally well in scratch resistance and adhesion to substrate as compared to inorganic matting agents.

Emulink CP

Emulink CP is an adhesion promoter suitable for both water-based and solvent-based coatings. Coating adhesion to most metal substrates and inorganic substrates is enhanced through chemical bonding with the metal or inorganic surface. Increased coating adhesion results in improvements in corrosion, humidity, chemical and water resistance. Emulink CP is compatible with most resins including alkyd, epoxy, PUD, acrylate, and polyester.

Emulink CP may also be used for mineral slurry grinding, which enables more fillers to be incorporated into rubber compounds through the coupling of the mineral surface with the rubber polymer chain.

Applications

Emulink Ultra 80

Emulink Ultra 80 is an accelerator free, low-temperature cure crosslinker for carboxylated polymers that require heat curing. Suitable polymer systems include carboxylated nitrile butadiene (XNBR), carboxylated polyacrylate, and carboxylated polyurethane dispersion (PUD).

Emulink Ultra 80 can be formulated into nitrile latex compounds for accelerator free, sulfur-free and ZnO less or ZnO free nitrile gloves and other dipped rubber goods. When used as a crosslinker in nitrile glove compounding, the production processes of nitrile gloves can be greatly simplified and the processes efficiency are significantly enhanced. No maturation of nitrile latex compound is needed with Emulink Ultra 80 thus improving production efficiencies. Significant reduction in the vulcanization temperature to 80°C or even lower enables significant energy saving as compared to traditional sulfur/accelerator cured nitrile gloves.
